Mayor’s Message

Welcome to the Town of Beausejour Website. This ongoing Work in Progress is intended to provide you the visitor and our citizens information about our Community, and therefore, if you feel information is missing please contact us.

This is indeed a very exciting time for Council and myself to have been elected to serve our Community. However, many challenges await us – we will try our best to meet those challenges – and we shall meet them as a TEAM. I hope that our team will emanate cooperation and Leadership, be open-minded and use common sense, be good listeners and provide answers, even though at times we have to say “No”. We plan to engage our Citizens on issues so that we can try to understand their points of view so that we, as a Council, can make a responsible decision.

I keenly look forward to working with the Community over the next 4 years. There are infrastructure, security, economic, cultural, heritage and recreational issues that await us. I am very confident that our team will succeed and move our Community forward.

Council Talk, November 1st, 2006

By:  Teresa Gmiterek – Town of Beausejour

DID YOU KNOW……

THAT the Town’s 2005 Audited Financial Statement has been completed by our auditor.

THAT, the total dollars transferred to reserves in 2005 was $92,953.00.

THAT, the total dollars for water supply and distribution plus sewage collection and disposal was $330,156.00.

THAT, the total dollars spent on garbage and waste collection and disposal was $209,058.00

Question of the Week:  What does an Audited Financial Statement actually tell you?

Answer:  The Audited Financial Statement is a document that is prepared by a Chartered Accountant.  It determines exactly where the Town stands financially at year end.  It is very detailed and very interesting to see total expenses and revenues of the Town for the services we provide and our operating expenses.

Is there anything you would like to know?  Please call Town Hall at 268-7550 and leave a message for Teresa.
