A state of the art racetrack is located in their community, bringing motocross and snowmobile racing to Eastern Manitoba. The Canadian Power Toboggan Championships Track is also home to many special events, from turf drags to outdoor concerts.

The C.P.T.C. Raceplex is the home of the Canadian Power Toboggan Championship Races. The 1/2 mile oval race track is located at the Southeastern corner of Beausejour on P.R. 302. Included as part of the Raceplex facility is a 1,300 seat grandstand, heated washrooms and concessions, heated spectator viewing facilities and two large heated multi-purpose facilities.

Established in 1967, the Pioneer Village Museum recreates a small pioneer village. It contains a log house, school, community hall, Canadian Pacific Railway Station, store, blacksmith shop and a Ukrainian Church with a bell tower. Most of the pioneers of this region were of Polish, Ukrainian, or German descent coming from the areas known as Galacia and Volhynia. These pioneers had to face many hardships in carving out the wilderness and learning to adapt to a new country and a new way of life. Many artifacts depicting the lifestyle of the early pioneers of the surrounding area are located in these buildings.

The Manitoba Glass Works Historic Site is the site of the first glass container factory in Western Canada. It was built in 1906 by Joseph Keilback and his partners. Glass-blowers from Poland and the United States, aided by local labour, used silica sands to produce bottles for breweries and soft drink companies in Winnipeg, serving the prairie market. Semi-automatic machines were soon installed to increase production. Winnipeg businessmen took over and enlarged the plant between 1909 and 1911. The new company expanded its production to include jars and medicine and ink bottles. At its peak it employed 350 workers.

This historic site is situated at the south end of Glass Lake on First Street. It is open to public viewing throughout the summer months. Archeologists have participated in public digs at various times. Ink bottles, glass pieces and tools have been found.

Haystack Productions is Beausejour, Manitoba’s amateur theatre group, and is an active member of A.C.T. (Association of Community Theatres of Manitoba Inc.)

Our objective is to promote theatrical arts for the entertainment and enrichment of the Beausejour area community. This is achieved through the production and performance of plays, musicals and improvisational theatre.

A multi-purpose conference and events complex, the BRRC holds three rooms capable of holding 36, 240, and 500 people respectively. The two larger rooms can be opened up to hold up to 700 people.

The Sun Gro Center also boasts a fully functional, artificial ice skating arena. The arena serves the area through hockey which includes Beausejour Brokenhead Minor Hockey, ringette, figure skating, public skating, speed skating and lacrosse. The arena has a pro-shop and concessions as well as a second level, enclosed ice viewing area.

The Centennial grounds have long been home to Beausejour and surrounding area’s recreational needs. The former home of the CPTC races as well as supporting the main slo-pitch diamonds. The diamonds are still functional for camp/picnic games or tournaments.

The Grounds are open to the public year round.

The pool area consists of a Junior Olympic swimming pool, a wading pool, a hot tub, and change facilities. Accredited lifeguards are on duty during pool hours. The pool is open during the months of June, July and August.

By the authority of the Town of Beausejour By-Law 1449/00, the following regulations have been enacted:

• Snowmobiles are permitted to operate on all residential streets, EXCLUDING Park Avenue and First Street North.
• Snowmobiles may share the roadways with other vehicular traffic, PROVIDING that all the regulations of the Criminal Code, the Highway Traffic Act, the Off Road Vehicles Act, and the By-Law are adhered to.
• Snowmobile traffic is only permitted on snow covered residential streets between October 15th and April 15th of the following year
• Snowmobiles shall not be operated within the community of Beausejour between the hours of 11:00pm and 7:00am.
• Maximum speed of 50 KPH shall apply.
