Garbage and Waste Disposal

7:00 am Tuesday: Restaurants, Grocery Stores, Nursing Care Homes, Hospital, Elevators, Halls, Schools and all residents on the north side of Park Avenue, excepting those residents on the West side of First Street North.

7:00 am Thursday: Garages, Grocery Stores, Post Office, skating Rink, Curling Rink, Nursing Care Homes, Restaurants, Hotels, Hospital, Elevators, Schools and all other commercial establishments and all residents on the south side of Park Avenue and those residents on the North side West of First Street North.

GARBAGE TO BE READY FOR PICK-UP BY 7:00A.M.

Spring and Fall Cleanup

Each year the Town holds both a spring and fall cleanup. This takes place the week following the May long weekend and the week following the Thanksgiving long weekend.

If you have any articles not generally picked up by the refuse collection, we invite you to use this opportunity to clean up your basement, garage and yard in order to discard those unwanted items. Please call 268-7550 for more information as to exact dates adn what items are allowed.

St. Clements Regional Landfill Site

Hours of Operation: 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. year round - Tuesday to Saturday

Curbside Recycling

The Association for Community Living operates a curbside recycling pickup on the same day as your regular pickup. Blue boxes can be purchased at ACL or at the Town Office. One size $10.00, lids not available. You will be provided with a list of acceptable items.

Lawn and Garden Compost Site

The Lawn and Garden Compost Site entrance is located on First Street North. All Town Residents are encouraged to drop off their lawn and garden waste and tree branches. No household or construction waste is permitted. Residents may pick up wood-chips and crushed glass at no cost when available.

4th Wednesday every month, 9 am to 4 pm at the RM Yard at the Junction of Highway 44 and 302.

Dogs

All dogs over the age of six months must be licensed.  Fees are: male or female $10.00, sterile $5.00.  Fees are on an escalation basis.  Dogs are not allowed on town property unless on a leash.  If found running at large, may be apprehended.

Open fires are strictly prohibited in the Town of Beausejour except upon special authorization of Council. By-Law No. 1255.

All consumers, commercial and domestic, are billed quarterly.  A penalty of 1.25%/month of the bill shall be charged if not paid by the due date.
