Skate Canada-Manitoba Section invite you to attend the 2010 Manitoba Open Freeskate Competition. This competition is open to all registered Competitive and Starskaters in Canada and the United States. Please join us in celebrating the sport of figure skating this February. Admission- Adults $6.00-day, $10.00 weekend pass. Students/Seniors $4.00 - day, $6.00 weekend pass, children 5 and under free when accompanied by an adult. This annual event is held early in September, and is a key event for Beausejour, drawing people from all around. It features competitors from all over, and plenty of other activities like a pancake breakfast, pony rides, agricultural displays, antique tractor displays, a saloon, mutton busting, fireworks, a barn dance with a live band, and more.  The Double B Rodeo and Country Fair parade on Saturday morning is a huge draw all by itself.
